Monongah had many strange things about it & many more strange characters. I would not want to write about them all at once, so we'll do them one at a time. I just ran across an obituary for a man who once lived in Monongah. His name was Nester C. Kerns. Nothing strange about that you say? No, but when his family members were listed they included six brothers. Their names-----Lester, Wester, Vester, Jester, & Chester. That is a total of seven boys. Say their names fast & then picture their Mother calling them to dinner. Hope this brings a smile to your face. More on the "Wonderful World of Monongah" later.
